In his first birdhouse book — The Art of the Birdhouse: Flights of Fancy — Mike Dillon demonstrates how birdhouses can
be more than just habitats for our feathered friends. The book features whimsical birdhouse designs that resemble eggplants, dancing teapots, a three-story celestial house painted in different shades of purple and blue. For a more rustic abode, there's a birdhouse built of twigs and adorned with leather braids. There's even an interpretation of a birdbath that uses rough wood boards for the exterior and an old faucet as the perch.
